What Tools Did You Use To Build This Website?

I use Adobe Photoshop CS3, CSSEdit, Dreamweaver 8 and most importantly my own personal wizard named Dale Mugford. Dale coded all of my CSS and made all of the php stuffs. I did a teeny, itty bitty little bit of the CSS design. This website would not be possible without Dale’s expertise and extreme patience with my pickiness.

This site is set up as a blog using the Wordpress Publishing platform, and all the posts are divided up into various categories. Even the daily photo is its own category. I use various wordpress plug-ins to make the content do what it does so if you would like more information you can contact me.

I work on an Apple MacBook that is about two and half months old. She is my baby, my link to the outside world. I even forced/coerced Dale into cracking open the lid on my first day with her to put in my little pink iColour removed from my iBook G4. Dale has set up a wireless network in our home so I can update the website from bed, balcony or from the toilet if necessary.

The content on this website vast and varied but all will be directed into categories for your easy browsing.

Herstory?

This website began in spring of 2004 in some old blog platform I can’t even remember. It was grey something or other and my blog never had a name. Sometime is 2005 I was introduced me to wordpress and thus “Womanifestations” was born. I wrote on Womanifestations for some time until I got really sick of it, tore it down and did a complete redesign. Pissy Pollyanna was born. There have been a couple of redesigns of Pissy Pollyanna, the latest being a riding of the coattails of the super simple, ultra clean Minimalia Theme that moi beau created.

Why Does This Website Look Like Shit In Internet Explorer?

Because you’re being an asshole and not downloading a better browser. You should download this better browser, or this better browser or even this better browser.

What camera do you use to take your photographs?

I use an Olympus Evolt E-500 Digital SLR to take my photographs. It is still pretty brand spanking new as I braved the boxing day madness to buy this baby. She has lots of buttons, about a zillion menu options and I am still working to get on good terms with her; meaning she does exactly what I want her to do and nothing else. I used to use a Fujifilm FinePix A345. It was a pretty good camera for a point and click but it just didn’t offer me the same kind of control the digital SLR does. I will admit I haven’t had a SLR since my high school days when my life revolved around a camera so I am enjoying the prospect of reinvesting in a old and dear passion of mine.
